We obtained several estimates and so encountered many different salesmen. I immediately liked and felt comfortable with theirs. In addition, they also offered the best price and a good financing deal. The installer was friendly and professional and completed the job quickly and competently. Efficient lives up to its name.

Jim replaced a 1923 radiator fitting. He also replaced a furnace valve that was clogged with sediment (hardened) that could not be removed. It took some time to determine that this valve was the source of the problem, and once corrected the furnace has been running well.
We are extremely pleased with Efficient Heating and Cooling sales and service.

In 2002, Efficient Heating installed a 90+ furnace in our home. At that time they were listed on Angie’s List. We have a 10 year warranty, and any time we have a problem, need a cleaning or replacement filters, or have any concerns, they have always responded promptly, often the same day, and have been thorough and friendly. Even though our furnace is five years old, whether you speak to Andy, Jim or Jason they are always courteous. Ours are almost always maintenance calls, for which there is no charge, but the level of professionalism does not change and we have been very impressed by that. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, based on our ongoing experience.

We had a thermocouple fail on Christmas day. The repairman came out at noon that day, did the service requested at the quoted price. Overall experience was excellent. We would recommend them. Not the cheapest price, but we expected a lot since they came on Christmas day.

Jim recognized that our oversized supply duct would compromise the lifespan and efficiency of the new furnace and explained clearly how the supply duct would function. He was knowledgeable and thorough in assessing our needs and making A/C and furnace recommendations. He took measurements, climbed into the attic, and examined windows to gauge the correct size for the A/C unit. He was flexible and worked within our time frame to complete the job. A very pleasant office staff assisted in scheduling. The company was punctual; Jim kept us informed of work in progress and unexpected discoveries such as plaster in the ducts dating to the homes construction. Considering how messy the project was with all the plaster dust, they did a good job cleaning up. They have their own duct cleaning equipment, so they did not have to subcontract it out. Very courteous work crew. They also explained in detail how to operate and maintain the newly installed system.

We have hot water baseboard heat and the systems safety valve starting spitting water at 1:30 PM. After making contact with the company first thing that morning, Andy understood the severity of my situation (broken heating system, husband out of town, preschooler in the house) and squeezed me in on a day that was completely booked up. In fact the owner, Jim, came out himself. He diagnosed the problem, replaced the water pump, tested the entire system including bleeding all the radiators (both zones) and replaced the boiler drain. He spent the necessary time to get the job done correctly and was very courteous. My heating system works like a charm, and I am thankful that I found such a reputable company. Jim is about as honest as they come. Andy was very kind at a time I was frazzled. He did what he could to help me. What piece of mind they gave me. I will continue to use this company for annual servicing as well.

Hi Jim, I just wanted to thank you again for helping an old man out. I found the heat sensor that you said may be the problem. It was, but only after a few anxious moments. The gas man had turned the valve off. So the first time I tried to start it-no good. I don’t know what made me look up (maybe looking for divine intervention?) and I saw the valve. You saved the day!
